Towersey Festival, The Thame Showground - Thame

25/08/2017 to 28/08/2017

KT Tunstall, Newton Faulkner, Eliza Carthy and former Bellowhead frontman Jon Boden, are among the acts headlining the 53rd Towersey Festival. They’re joined by Show Of Hands, Lindisfarne, The Blockheads, Foy Vance, and many more.

One of the UK's longest running independent music festivals, the four-day event features entertainment across a dozen stages, including acoustic sessions, street theatre, storytelling, film, workshops, and a dedicated ceilidh / dance stage. There's also an array of street food and locally made produce, extensively stocked real ale and cider bars, and a renowned programme of activities for children and families.

Towersey is a hidden festival gem. Devoid of corporate logos and branding, and still run by the family who co-founded the festival in the mid-1960s, it’s relaxed, friendly, and with a forward-thinking programme of folk, roots and acoustic music.
