About Chinnor

The village of Chinnor is located in Oxfordshire about 30 miles north of London and is best known for the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway heritage railway line.

This is a standard gauge railway operating both steam and diesel hauled train services on a former Great Western Railway branch line that until 1989 served the cement works. Steam trains are run on some weekends and bank holidays.

Claim to Fame:
Musician Adam Clayton, bassist in the Irish band U2, was born in Chinnor in 1960.
