Medieval themed actitivities planned in Wallingford (Full Article)

Wallingford Museum to host a medieval themed family day complete with knight and scriveners

On Saturday 24th August, 11am to 4pm, Wallingford Museum hosts a lively family day with medieval themed activities and entertainment.
A Medieval Knight will show weapons and armour as well as talk about the things he displays and letting people try holding the items.
‘The Oxford Scribes’ will be there to demonstrate how medieval script is written and to let people have a go for themselves with pen and ink. Adults and children can try it and there will also be colouring of manuscript art for those who prefer coloured ‘water’ pencils to working with a pen.
Children could also try making clay pots, and examining the pottery display of medieval finds. Why not browse the Museum exhibitions too, and try the ‘Puzzle at the Priory quiz’?
Entry is by Museum ticket at the door - £4 per adult (which gives unlimited entry till November 30) but accompanied children are FREE.
