About Warborough and Shillingford

The Parish of Warborough consists of 2 villages, Warborough and Shillingford, and has a combined population of 1,000 people.

Warborough Green is a typical, picturesque, British village green. It has a mixture of sycamore, lime, oak and horse chestnut trees and overlooked by the The Six Bells pub.

The Green is the home ground for Warborough & Shillingford Cricket Club and Warborough & Shillingford Football Club and is regularly used as a TV and Film location. It has appeared in Jeeves & Wooster and Songs of Praise, and in recent years, Warborough Green, the surrounding houses and the Six Bells pub have all been used as locations in episodes of Midsomer Murders.

The Green also plays host to the annual Warborough Festival each summer.  The event brings together the communities of Warborough and Shillingford for a summer weekend of fun, music and entertainment.
